L’Oréal buys out water tech startup Gjosa

L’Oréal has been working with Gjosa since 2015, and made its first minority investment into the company in 2021

L’Oréal has purchased the remaining shares of Gjosa, a water tech startup, with the goal of expanding the company’s water-saving solutions within the beauty industry. This acquisition aligns with L’Oréal’s environmental objectives and will enhance the business’ water management systems and technology. CEO Nicolas Hieronimus stated that incorporating Gjosa’s technology into their products and services will allow for more sustainable beauty solutions with improved performance that are less resource intensive.
