HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Officials with the U.S. Department of Agriculture have announced that they are funding new projects in nearly every state to lower costs, expand access to clean energy and strengthen American farms and small businesses.

Nearly a dozen of those projects are to help purchase and install photo-voltaic systems in the valley.

One of the largest projects is nearly $155,000 for Stone Hill Farm in Harrisonburg.

Other projects will benefit Rockingham Eye Physicians and Associates in Harrisonburg, Endless View Farm in Broadway, Muse Vineyards and Winery in Woodstock and Pendleton Community Bank in Staunton.
