Among them are the Caterpillar D11 Dozer and mining trucks made by Komatsu – both made locally.

You can cast your vote here. Voting is open until March 24 to determine the top 8. Top 4 voting ends March 31.

More than 200 unique products were nominated.

Other products in the sweet 16 include Aisin Electronics Illinois’ Smart Handle made in Marion, the Continental truck tire made in Mt. Vernon, Vulcan rocket thruster launchers made in Downers Grove, the MQ-25 Stingray drone refueler in Mascoutah, and Nerds Gummy Clusters made in Forest park.

“These products represent the diversity and creativity of Illinois’ manufacturing industry, which is the heartbeat of our state’s economy and central to the success of communities large and small,” said Mark Denzler, President and CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. “We congratulate the innovators who made it to the Top 16 and applaud the hard work of women and men on factory floors throughout Illinois. As we showcase these impressive products, we remain committed to working with policymakers to pass legislation that will help the manufacturing sector grow for generations to come.”
