The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has advanced its electricity transmission infrastructure by commissioning eight new 132kV and two 400kV substations in 2025, expanding the total to 394. This expansion aims to enhance reliability and meet rising demand due to urban growth. DEWA plans further projects worth AED 8.5 billion by 2028.
