Tenaga Nasional Berhad has inaugurated the 100MW/400MWh Santong Battery Energy Storage System in Dungun, Terengganu, to enhance grid stability and renewable energy integration. This project supports Malaysia’s energy transition roadmap, which aims for 70% renewable capacity by 2050 and includes future BESS developments. It will help balance electricity supply and demand fluctuations.
