USDA creates milk testing strategy to combat H5N1 in dairy cattle

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a new federal order, as well as accompanying guidance, on December 6 as part of its new National Milk Testing Strategy. This builds on efforts by federal and state entities since the outbreak of H5N1 in dairy cattle in March.
