AND ALSO THE MANY FACTURING AND ENGINEERING COMPANIES THAT CALL THE UPSTATE HOME THE ANNUAL ADVANCED MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING NIGHT IS NEXT TUESDAY, JUNE 25TH AT FLUOR FIELD IN DOWNTOWN GREENVILLE. THEY ARE FROM LOCAL COMPANIES INCLUDING BMW, MICHELIN, MILLIKEN AND DUKE ENERGY. STUDENTS WHO VISIT ALL OF THE EXHIBITS HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN PRIZES. Local students are invited to attend a free Greenville Drive game next Tuesday, June 25 celebrating baseball and the numerous manufacturing and engineering companies in the Upstate. The 9th annual “Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Night” will take place at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville, SC. K-12 students and their families can explore interactive exhibits from companies including BMW, Michelin, Greenville Technical College, GE Vernova, Greenville County Schools, Milliken, Bosch, Bosch Rexroth, Duke Energy, Dodge Industrial, Arthrex, Ryobi, and Wauseon Machine.The event will also feature a panel discussion where industry leaders share career advice.Greenville Drive President Jeff Brown highlights the importance of the event in closing the talent gap and ensuring local graduates have the necessary skills for industry demands. “There are a lot of large companies that are based in the Upstate that really contribute to the quality of life, economic development impact, and a lot of the benefits that we all enjoy every day. Their main need is qualified workers,” Brown said. “So to be able to use a Drive baseball game to help in that regard, it might not be the first thing you think about when you think about Minor League Baseball, but it’s really neat,” Brown said.To learn more and secure a free student ticket, go here.
